In partnership with Wieden+Kennedy group, we produced an interactive music video for the New Jersey band Real Estate. I was too hard to choose our own colors, so in this video, fans decide! As the animation is running, users color in the video to their liking by clicking outlined cells — which, in an unbelievable coincidence, resembles a stained glass window. To create the animations, band members lip-synced the song in front of green screen on treadmills. We then traced the live-action shots frame by frame to create the outline animations and then followed with some WebGL trickery to generate a compelling, interactive web experience.
